DTF TRANSFERS — File Requirements

Required 📷

Resolution

300 DPI Minimum at final print size

Lower resolution will appear blurry or pixelated on the final transfer. 300 DPI is the minimum — 350–400 DPI preferred.

Required 🎨

Color Mode

CMYK or RGB Both accepted for DTF

DTF printers can handle RGB. However, colors may shift slightly. For exact color matching, provide CMYK values.

Required 🔲

Background

Transparent No white background

DTF transfers print the design only. File must have a transparent (checkered) background or we will print white around your design.

Important 📐

File Size

Actual Print Size We do not resize files

Your file must be set up at the exact size you want it printed. If you want a 12" design, your file must be 12" wide at 300 DPI.

Important 🔠

Fonts

Outline or Embed Convert all text to outlines

If submitting a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF), convert all text to outlines to prevent font substitution errors.

Pro Tip

White Ink

Auto-Generated We handle white layer

We automatically generate the white under-base layer. Do NOT include a white background layer — it will print as white ink on your design.
